The dictator game is a very simple game in experimental economics , similar to the ultimatum game. Experimental results in the dictator game have often been cited as a conclusive rebuttal of the rationally self-interested individual homo economicus model of economic behavior, although this conclusion is controversial. In the dictator game, the first player, "the proposer," determines an allocation split of some endowment such as a cash prize. The second player, the "responder," simply receives the remainder of the endowment not allocated by the proposer to himself. The responder's role is entirely passive he has no strategic input into the outcome of the game. As a result, the dictator game is not formally a game at all as the term is used in game theory.

Do people care about social context? Framing effects in dictator games
Dull, lengthy dictations are no longer so prevalent in most ESL classrooms, however, there is some value in the format, and used in moderation, dictation activities can be a useful and stimulating exercise. Some of their benefits are promoting the noticing of new forms, developing hearing skills, presenting new language, and checking spelling. In a standard dictation activity, a shortish text is selected and then read slowly to the class who attempt to write it down verbatim. The dictation can be repeated as many times as needed. This type of dictation has some value, but it can quickly get stale.
All subjects participated in intensive treatment, which consisted of 5-day a week Intensive Outpatient Program IOP , 3 x weekly individual psychotherapy, and antidepressant medication. Subjects had QEEGs, using the electrode system, at admission and discharge. Conclusions: These findings suggest that TMS may be not only a beneficial treatment for depression but an essential component of neuropsychiatric care for severe, complex depressed young adults. If the findings are replicated in a clinical trial, they could suggest that the mechanism for improved interconnectivity may be, in part, the greater availability of raw power to the prefrontal cortex and, potentially, its connections into the anterior cingulate cortex.
