Strategies Developed : In preparing this essay, you will practice the following: invention this includes finding a focus, generating and organizing ideas, considering audience, and clarifying a purpose ; summarizing and paraphrasing; quoting from and responding to a primary source; selecting and presenting material focused on a specific interpretation of a source; and using your experience and knowledge as ways to open up discussion on a source. In your essay, you will summarize two of the main ideas set forth in any of the above readings, and then reply to that idea by introducing thoughts or information that create a conversation with the text.

Helpful Ideas for How to Write Response Essay

A summary response essay is an assignment, where a student needs to disclose his own emotions and impressions after reading some info, blog post or book of a particular author or just impressions on some topic, which can be discussed nowadays and you just want to show what you think about it personally. In other words, you have to analyze the chosen topic. It is understandable. For the first time, everything can seem a little scary because it is new.
